Thanks to all the PAG attendees who visited us at the 2010 Plant and Animal Genome Conference.
This was our first stop at PAG and we enjoyed the conference, enjoyed the venue, enjoyed the weather and especially enjoyed meeting everyone and discussing
interesting research topics, ideas and ways that we at Bio::Neos can help. If you were not able to stop by our booth but have questions, don't hesitate to

Bio::Neos, Inc. will be exhibiting at the inaugural
BioConference Live Virtual Conference, set to take place
November 17th - 19th. Just like a normal conference, there will be speakers, sessions and even poster presentations.
But there is one big difference between a normal conference and this virtual conference, BioConference Live is
FREE for attendees! Talks and exhibit hours are from 10am - 6pm, EST. Visit our booth to see whats new

If you have been to our website before, you will notice that we just updated our site! If you have
never visited us before, welcome to a brand new site! We thought a makeover was overdue. We also
adjusted the site navigation and brought everything to the navigation frame on the left side of the page.
We hope you like the new look and that the new navigation makes it that much easier to find exactly what
you are looking for. If you happen to notice a broken link or a problem with the site, please let us know!

GANT v1.1.0 Released

Version 1.1.0 of our free gene browser, GANT, has just been released and is now available for
download. This release features many internal improvements that enhance the stability and usability of GANT.
If you have previously downloaded GANT, you can go to the Help menu in GANT and select 'Check For Updates'
to download the update. After you press the Download button it can take 1-2 minutes to download. After the
update has been downloaded, GANT will close and the installer for version 1.1.0 will run.
If you have never used GANT before, you can visit the
GANT product page for more information and to download. Contact support@bioneos.com with any questions or
support issues.

Bio::POD referenced in the Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (vol. 5 issue 6)

We are proud to announce the publication of the "Transcript Annotation Prioritization and Screening System (TrAPSS)
For Mutation Screening" article (Pubmed ID: 18172923) in the December Issue of the Journal of Bioinformatics
and Computational Biology (vol. 5, issue 6). Our product Bio::POD has been integrated into the TrAPSS application through
a plugin interface we designed. TrAPSS and Bio::POD are used on a daily basis for research ongoing at the University of Iowa
College of Medicine. The system, and the use of Bio::POD, is described at length in this article.

GANT Released, Available for Download

We are proud to announce the release of our free gene browser, GANT. GANT (Gene and Annotation Navigation Tool)
is a desktop deployed gene-centric genome browser. It has the unique ability to gather gene structure and
annotation from multiple sources and present them together in an easy-to-navigate interface. Additional features
are included such as the ability to add your own custom annotation and design primers with lightning speed.
GANT is available for free to all users. Visit the GANT

PAR (Prioritization of Annotated Regions) Paper published in Human Mutation (vol. 27, issue 2)

A detailed description of the Prioritization of Annotated Regions (PAR) algorithm, which is used exclusively in
Bio::POD, has been published in the February
issue of Human Mutation. The article, entitled "Prioritizing regions of candidate genes for efficient mutation
screening" (Pubmed ID: 16395665) was authored by our Senior Scientific Officer, Dr. Terry Braun.

Bio::Neos has moved into the Technology
Innovation Center in the Oakdale Research Park of the University of
Iowa. The advantages of being located in an official business incubator will allow Bio::Neos to expand and
thrive in the new environment.
